The 2024 NFL season is right around the corner and that means that Fantasy Football is closing in as well. Most serious Fantasy Football players are already doing their research for their draft. Thankfully, there are a lot of sleepers to take notice of this season.

From rookies and veterans in new situations, to young players poised to take a big leap forward in year two, there are plenty of late-round options that could turn your team into a championship winner.

Fantasy Football has become an absolutely massive hit. Even casual fans love to play it. However, competition is at an all-time high and in some situations there is a lot of money riding on how a league plays out.

Without further delay, let’s dive in and take a look at one Fantasy Football sleeper for each team in the NFC North.

NFC North Fantasy Football Sleepers For 2024

Chicago Bears: Cole Kmet, Tight End

Very few football fans are high on Cole Kmet heading into the 2024 season. There are valid reasons for the lukewarm reception to his name. However, there are also reasons to get very excited about him.

Last season with the Bears, Kmet ended up catching 73 passes for 719 yards and six touchdowns. He put up those numbers very quietly. There is not a ton of buzz surrounding him right now.

Heading into the 2024 season, Kmet finally has a legitimate quarterback throwing him the ball. Caleb Williams is a huge upgrade over Justin Fields. His potential is through the roof and he’s a major sleeper pick at tight end for later in a Fantasy Football draft.

Detroit Lions: Jameson Williams, Wide Receiver

Over the past two years, fans have been waiting for Jameson Williams to show off the potential that made him the No. 12 overall pick in the 2022 NFL Draft. He has been unable to live up to the hype so far.

However, he’s healthy this offseason and not facing a suspension. He’s ready to finally break onto the scene as a Fantasy Football sleeper star.

Jared Goff and the offense are loaded with talent. Williams is truly their X-Factor. His big play ability will be on full display this season and he’s well worth picking as your WR3 or even a FLEX option.

Green Bay Packers: Dontayvion Wicks, Wide Receiver

Sticking with the wide receiver position, the Packers have arguably the biggest sleeper in the entire NFC North. Dontayvion Wicks showed big-time potential last season and he’s been working hard throughout the offseason. He’s poised to take a big-time leap in 2024.

We are projecting that Wicks will be an elite WR3 option and could even enter WR2 territory.

Jordan Love is going to be even better than he was in 2023 and he has great chemistry with Wicks. That bodes well for Fantasy Football players. Make sure to keep a close eye on Wicks as you get into the latter rounds in your draft.

Minnesota Vikings: Sam Darnold, Quarterback

How could we not throw Sam Darnold onto this list? After showing major improvement with the San Francisco 49ers in his limited snaps, Darnold is coming into an extremely powerful offense.

J.J. McCarthy is receiving some hype as a potential starter in 2024, but more than likely the Vikings are going to play it slow and safe with their first-round pick. There is a very good chance that Darnold is QB1 for the entire season, assuming he stays healthy.

If that happens, he’ll have elite weapons in Justin Jefferson and Jordan Addison to work with. Aaron Jones is an elite receiver out of the backfield. T.J. Hockenson will also be back at some point in the middle of the year.

We’re not saying that Darnold is a clear-cut QB1 for your Fantasy Football team, but he’s an elite backup that could turn into a QB1. Kirk Cousins put up huge numbers in this offense, and while he’s better than Darnold from a talent level, Darnold could put up that same level of production or even higher.
