2 Miami Dolphins Fantasy Football Sleepers For 2024

The Miami Dolphins could have one of the best rosters for Fantasy Football this season. Between Tyreek Hill, Jaylen Waddle, Raheem Mostert, Tua Tagovailoa, and De’Von Achane, there is no shortage of names.

However, for those who want a piece of the Mike McDaniel offense but don’t want to spend a ton of capital, here are two names to consider.

Braxton Berrios, WR

The injury bug is hitting the Dolphins hard and fast. Hill and Waddle already are listed as questionable for Week 1. With Odell Beckham Jr. also set to miss time due to injury, there is a chance that Berrios will be the team’s No. 1 receiver to kick off the year. This can only guarantee that he will get plenty of targets early in the season.

Of course, there is always a chance that the injuries to Hill and Waddle are merely a smokescreen and both players will be ready to play in Week 1. However, even if that is the case or if either receiver heals quickly, Berrios slides into the third spot on the depth chart.

With Beckham already facing injury troubles and his last injury taking more than a full year to heal, he could be in for a longer wait than the minimum month required by the PUP-R list. If that happens, Berrios effectively will be the Dolphins’ third receiver this season. Of course, this isn’t a green light to spend a premium pick on the receiver, but if he can be had for free or a late draft pick, the gamble could pay off quite nicely.

Jonnu Smith, TE

Jonnu Smith had two of the best games of his career in 2023. However, he had no room to operate, as he was stuck behind Kyle Pitts with the Atlanta Falcons. That problem has been fixed with Smith lining up as the Dolphins’ top tight end this year.

Smith has proven to make something out of nothing in recent times. One only needs to look at his production last season (more on that later).

As such, he could be a must-draft tight end this year. If you miss out on the conventional choices like Travis Kelce and George Kittle, this is one tight end you cannot afford to miss. Last season, Smith logged two games of at least 95 receiving yards. This proves that he was not just a one-week wonder.

Even as the backup tight end last year, Smith earned nearly 600 yards and three touchdowns. This should be considered the floor for the new Miami Dolphins pass-catcher, with 900 yards and six touchdowns serving as a realistic target.
