The Buffalo Bills were riding high but now on the other side of Week 4, Josh Allen’s roster has one big glaring deficiency. After losing to the Baltimore Ravens, a team with a questionable defensive presence in the NFL this season, it is clear that the team needs to add at least one body for Josh Allen to rely on.
Luckily, with the NFL season hitting its first big milestone after four weeks, a few teams might be thinking about selling some interesting offensive pieces. Here’s a look at two big names that could instantly boost the Bills’ offense.
Calvin Ridley, WR
The Tennessee Titans wide receiver has had just two catches for 14 total yards in the last two weeks. However, in the first two weeks, he had seven catches for 127 yards and a touchdown, per Pro Football Reference. Put simply, there is something worth exploring with Calvin Ridley, but his potential might not be peaking in Tennessee.
If the Titans, just 1-3, want to get drastic with an offensive rebuild everywhere but at quarterback, Ridley could be the best trade to facilitate that, which would be good news for the Bills.
DeAndre Hopkins, WR
DeAndre Hopkins is well past the age of 30 and is on a 1-3 team lacking clear vision at quarterback. As such, his hopes might lie elsewhere, assuming his goal is to get a Super Bowl win before retiring.
A trade to the Bills likely would get a solid rate of return for the Titans. It also wouldn’t hurt them long-term as Hopkins might well be playing one of his last seasons in the league.
Still, as a player who earned 1000 yards last season, Hopkins has some gas in the tank that would benefit the Buffalo Bills.
