The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are a solid hotbed for Fantasy Foootball managers. Between Baker Mayfield, Mike Evans, and Chris Godwin, the team has plenty of obvious talent. However, winning championships requires looking under other rocks, as well.

The Buccaneers have a couple of potential diamonds in the rough for those willing to dive one level deeper.

Here’s a look at two fantasy football sleepers for the 2024 season.

Cade Otton, TE

Cade Otton isn’t the first name managers would use when asked for a player to draft in fantasy football. However, Otton will be the team’s starting tight end this year in his third year with the team. As such, he should have a clear understanding of the offense.

This means he should be as comfortable as he has ever been in the NFL. While Otton will need to compete with Mike Evans and Chris Godwin for targets, this is the best opportunity he has had yet to impress.

If Evans takes a step back this year as a receiver on the wrong side of 30, Otton could get more action than he’s ever gotten. He also has been trending up, earning twice as many touchdowns in 2023 as he had in 2024. He also earned more catches and more yards, which indicates that he could trend up even more this season.

Tight ends have a lower bar than other positions, so Otton’s 455 yards and four touchdowns from 2023 isn’t an instant write-off as it might be in other situations.

Jalen McMillan, WR

Evans and Godwin could soak up the majority of the targets this season among wide receivers. However, the Buccaneers appear to have at least some interest in spreading the wealth as they spent a third-round pick on the rookie Jalen McMillan this year. McMillan slides in as the third-string wide receiver, per ESPN’s depth chart.

Considering the investment, there will at least be some kind of focused effort to get some value out of McMillan, which is good new for fantasy managers. Of course, the question is whether he can capitalize.

That said, as an early-season stash, McMillan could be a late-season dividend as injuries begin to pile up around the league.
