3 Bold Predictions For Dolphins WR Tyreek Hill In 2024

Tyreek Hill, Dolphins

Tyreek Hill is coming off a whammy of a two-year streak. The Miami Dolphins receiver has never gone into a year with a stronger resume. However, the Achilles heel of the wide receiver is his age. At roughly 30.5 years old, the superstar pass-catcher is due for a step back this year.

Of course, the question is how big of a back step will it be?

Here’s a look at three bold predictions for Hill’s season.

Tyreek Hill will have his fewest yards in years

Hill isn’t slamming the brakes in 2024. However, he will ever so slightly be taking pressure off the gas pedal. As such, thanks to his age, the Cheetah will earn fewer yards than he ever has with the Dolphins.

It still will match or beat his best production from the Chiefs. However, it won’t match the 1700-1800 yards of the last two years. Last year, he earned 1799 yards and 13 touchdowns. This year’s production won’t match that in either category.

Doesn’t three-peat catch total

In a bizarre coincidence, Hill managed to earn the exact same total number of catches in 2023 that he had in 2022. In 2022, he earned 119 catches. Last year, he earned 119 catches. Ergo, the odds of matching that number are remote, not even considering the insanely high bar that Hill has set for himself. Put simply, whether Hill totals more or less catches this season, he won’t be landing on 119.

Tyreek Hill will hand Tua Tagovailoa his first playoff win

The biggest monkey on Tua Tagovailoa’s back is his playoff record. Despite landing a breakout $212 million contract this off-season, he has yet to deliver the Dolphins a playoff win. With Hill entering his 30s and Miami’s roster only getting older, this might be the last year to get a prime-like run out of the nucleus of the offense in its current form.

With the pressure sky-high on the team, Hill delivers the Dolphins quarterback his first playoff win.

Of course, this implies that Hill will catch a game-winning touchdown pass, but it could be a number of ways that he wins it. He could dive on a fumble by another player to extend a possession that wins the game. He also could get put back as a punt returner in a desperate situation where he delivers.

Either way, Tyreek Hill comes up with a critical play for Tagovailoa, granting him his first playoff win.
