8 Bold Predictions for NFL Week 4 Action

We are three weeks into the NFL season, and things are starting to get exciting. The number of undefeated teams is down to five and the winless count is just four, with the biggest surprise coming from the 0-3 Bengals. Andy Dalton provided some respite in Carolina as the team rallied around him on their way to a win over the Raiders.

But, Week 3 is over and now we turn our attention to Week 4. The Cowboys and Giants get us started with their Thursday Night Football (TNF) matchup while SNF features the Bills against the Ravens.

With lots of exciting games to look forward to yet again, here we list eight bold predictions for the upcoming Week 4 of the NFL.

Giants Stun Cowboys On TNF

The New York Giants and the Dallas Cowboys have been polar opposites of one another as far as success goes in the past few years. The Giants last defeated the Cowboys in January 2021 which is a run of six games they have now lost against their divisional rivals. Not only that but of those six games, three have been blowout wins for Dallas.

On paper, 2024 should be no different with New York still struggling and Dallas fielding a stronger team. However, Malik Nabers has gotten off to a great rookie season and he will have another big game as the Giants take out the Cowboys on prime-time television.

Falcons Defeat Saints On Walk-Off Field Goal

The NFC South is an interesting division once again and winning the division may go down as a three-way battle if we exclude the Panthers (despite their Week 3 win against the Raiders with Andy Dalton under center).

In any case, Atlanta against New Orleans in Week 4 is a great game that has the potential to go down to the wire. Although the Saints have looked very sharp to start the season, their Week 3 loss to the Eagles has reduced the hoopla around them to a certain extent.

As for Atlanta, they had a decent outing but came up against the reigning champions last week and ended up falling to 1-2. Nevertheless, the Falcons and Saints will be involved in a close game with the former winning it on a walk-off field goal.

Aaron Jones Rushes For 100 Yards And 2 TDs Against Former Team

Aaron Jones will be back in Green Bay but this time in the purple uniform of the Vikings. Jones is off to a good start with his new team and is just coming off his first 100+ rushing yards game as a Viking in their Week 3 battering of the Houston Texans.

Playing against his former team, Jones will have a point to prove and that he will achieve with another 100+ yards rushing performance along with two touchdowns on the ground.

Bengals Fall To 0-4 After Loss To Panthers

Cincinnati is struggling, struggling really bad. And despite Joe Burrow and Ja’Marr Chase both having good games, the Bengals still ended up losing to the Commanders and falling to 0-3. Next week would have been easier as they will be facing the Panthers, but Carolina benched their starting QB, Bryce Young and handed the job to veteran Andy Dalton who has renewed the hopes for the NFC South outfit.

With the way the Bengals are playing currently and the resurgence of the Panthers who looked like a completely different unit in Week 3, this game could turn into another upset. Cincinnati will buckle under the pressure of their bad start and falter to go 0-4 by the end of the game.

Deshaun Watson Gets Sacked 6 Times Against Raiders

Through the first three games of the 2024 season, Browns’ QB Deshaun Watson has been sacked 16 times already. The Browns’ O-line has not been able to protect their signal caller leading to further offensive problems in Cleveland.

As for the Raiders, sitting at 1-2 not much is going right for Las Vegas as well. The Raiders are struggling and could have been 0-3 had it not been for their gritty win over the Ravens in Week 2. Vegas’ defense has struggled to get to the quarterback and is one of the lowest-ranked teams in sacks with just five so far.

However, all that is about to change as Maxx Crosby has a great night leading the way for their defense to sack Watson six times in their week 4 game.

Travis Kelce Goes For 80+ Receiving Yards And 2 TDs

The 2024 season has not started the way Travis Kelce would have imagined. In three games Kelce has only eight catches from 12 targets for a measly 69 yards and no touchdowns. He seems to be double-teamed a lot and whenever he is open, Mahomes isn’t able to see him.

The Chiefs’ offense is once again not firing on all cylinders and Kelce is a big part of that. His best performance in these three games has been his Week 1 game where he caught three passes for 34 yards.

However, this week Kelce and the Chiefs will face the new-look Chargers led by Jim Harbaugh for the first time and Kansas City’s best tight end in franchise history will get his receptions. He will finish with over 80 receiving yards and score the first two touchdowns of the season.

Bills And Ravens Game Produces Just 600 Yards Of Total Offense

Sunday night’s prime-time game between the Bills and the Ravens is a clash of the big ones. Both teams have started their seasons in contrasting fashion as Josh Allen and the Bills are 3-0 and looking like a well-oiled machine. On the contrary, the Ravens started 0-2 and nearly let a big lead slip away in Week 3 against the Cowboys.

However, when these two strong teams meet, the game will be a defensive show from both sides. The game will end with a combined total of just over 350 passing yards and about 250 rushing yards.

Aidan Hutchinson Is Held To No Sacks And 2 QB Hits

The Detroit Lions have given up an average of 18 points per game in their three games thus far. Defensively, they have been sound and are led by none other than their star defensive end Aidan Hutchinson.

Hutchinson is on target for a record year as he already has 6.5 sacks from just threee games. If he keeps up this pace, he will easily clear the record of 22.5 sacks in one season held by Michael Strahan and T.J. Watt.

Unfortunately, though, Hutchinson will be kept quiet in Detroit’s Week 4 game against the Seahawks who will limit him to no sacks and just two QB hits for the entirety of the match.
