Davante Adams and the Las Vegas Raiders have a very interesting season ahead, as there are a ton of talented teams in the AFC.

The Raiders will have their first full season with Antonio Pierce as the head coach. Las Vegas played nine games with Pierce as their interim head coach after firing Josh McDaniels.

Pierce quickly garnered the support of the players and is a respected voice in the locker room.

The Raiders took Brock Bowers with their first-round pick, adding another weapon to their offense.

Las Vegas will give 2023 fourth-round pick Aidan O’Connell the opportunity to start at quarterback for the season. They signed Gardner Minshew as a backup, who could step into the starting role if needed.

The Raiders’ top weapon for whoever starts at quarterback is Adams. The 31-year-old receiver hauled in 103 receptions for 1,144 yards and eight touchdowns in the 2023 season.

Analyst gives shocking Davante Adams prediction

Bleacher Report analyst Alex Ballentine believes that Adams will be on the trade block by the deadline.

Although Adams has been recruited by some former teammates (specifically New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers and Green Bay Packers running back Josh Jacobs), he has remained loyal to the Raiders.

However, if the Raiders are struggling at the deadline, they could get a haul for Adams.

At 31 years old, Adams is still in his prime as one of the top receivers in the NFL. He is an elite route runner and a quarterback’s best friend, as he constantly finds himself open.

If he’s made available, many contenders could be in the mix to acquire him. The aforementioned Jets and Packers, as well as the Buffalo Bills, are possible destinations.

Adams is a true difference-maker on offense and would likely warrant a first-round pick or more.

A potential comparison of a trade could be when the Kansas City Chiefs moved Tyreek Hill to the Miami Dolphins. In that deal, the Dolphins sent a first-round pick, a second-round pick, two fourth-round picks, and a sixth-round pick to the Chiefs in exchange for Hill.

Getting a haul like that could be worthwhile for the Raiders if they aren’t in the race in the AFC by the trade deadline.

For now, Davante Adams is a part of the Raiders core, but if they can’t figure it out with Pierce as the head coach, cashing in on his trade value could be a great decision.
