Back in April 2022, wide receiver Marquise “Hollywood” Brown asked the Baltimore Ravens for a trade because he was unhappy with his role. They granted his request and dealt him to the Arizona Cardinals.

Could the Ravens re-acquire Brown a year-and-a-half later?

Bleacher Report’s Kristopher Knox thinks a reunion would make sense.

With the NFL trade deadline looming on Oct. 31, there has been speculation that the Cardinals could move Brown, whose contract expires at the end of this season. Arizona doesn’t seem to be going anywhere, so it might be smart for the club to recoup some value for him instead of just seeing him walk via free agency in the spring. Additionally, the Cardinals initially landed Brown partly because he played his collegiate football with Kyler Murray, but it seems as if Arizona is ready to move on from Murray.

Enter the Ravens, who are in need of a wide out following Odell Beckham Jr.’s ankle injury that occurred in last weekend’s win over the Cincinnati Bengals. Plus, it’s not like Beckham is a true No. 1 receiver at this point of his career, so Baltimore could use some help at the position regardless.

The question is whether or not Brown would be okay returning to his old stomping grounds.

Hollywood Brown was originally selected by the Ravens with the 25th overall pick of the 2019 NFL Draft. While he steadily improved each season, eventually leading to him hauling in 91 receptions for 1,008 yards and six touchdowns in 2021, he was not pleased with how he was utilized. Because Lamar Jackson is under center, Baltimore employs a run-heavy offense that features a lot of short and intermediate passes to tight ends. That is certainly not Brown’s style.

However, there is no doubt that the Ravens could use another weapon in their aerial attack, and Brown may represent one of the best potential options available over the next five weeks.
