Buffalo Bills Insider Reveals Huge Von Miller Report

Von Miller, Buffalo Bills

Von Miller has been in the background for quite some time since joining the Buffalo Bills. However, the former superstar Denver Broncos edge rusher might have some extra pop in 2024.

At least, that is what one Bills reporter believes.

According to Syracuse.com reporter insider Matt Parrino via Heavy, the knee brace that has plagued Miller for quite some time has been removed.

“He said he couldn’t practice last season without a knee brace, which he’s discarded this offseason and during OTAs. Miller still wants to play a few more seasons, and he showed some signs on Tuesday – albeit in a non-padded practice – that it could be possible.”

The removal of the knee brace is a positive development for Miller. The removal demonstrates that his knee is strong enough to handle the rigors of the NFL on its own. Without a knee brace, Miller is set to be a little lighter than he otherwise would be. Additionally, his leg may be able to bend in a more organic and less regimented fashion.

Parrino noted that Miller still wanted to play a few more seasons and getting healthier increases the chances to do so.

Von Miller pursues first double-digit sack season since his 20s

At 35 years old, the pass rusher has played four seasons since he managed to earn ten sacks in a season. The last time he managed to pull off the feat, Covid-19 was an unknown, Fortnite was still in its infancy, and the United States had a different president.

Since earning 14.5 sacks for the Denver Broncos in 2018, the pass rusher went on to play half of a season with the Los Angeles Rams, winning a Super Bowl. The stay with the team was short, however. Ahead of the 2022 season, Miller signed with the Buffalo Bills.

However, since his addition, the pass rusher has yet to turn in a full season of attendance. In 2022, he played in 11 games. In 2023, he played in 12 games. While his attendance left some wanting, his statistics have taken a hit as a direct result of his attendance troubles. In 2022, he earned eight sacks but in 2023, Miller failed to log a single sack.

Perhaps more than production, Miller potentially hopes to stick around to finish out his current contract. When he was signed in 2022, the pass rusher received an eye-popping six-year deal on the plus side of 30. As it stands, he is signed through the 2027 season, per Spotrac.

If he were to finish his current deal, he would be heading into an age-39 season. Will Von Miller play that long?
