Chicago Bears Teammate Reveals One Major Fact About Caleb Williams

Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams serves as one massive new variable that separates the 2023 version of the NFL from the 2024 version.

As a rookie joining the league in the shadow of C.J. Stroud, seemingly any outcome including a playoff run is on the table. However, NFL fans have had little chance to learn about his personality up close.

That said, new teammate Cole Kmet has had a chance to get up close and personal with Williams. According to the Bears via Ari Meirov on Twitter/X on Tuesday, the tight end had an unorthodox outing at Top Golf.

It was a different sport and a different setting than a typical competition arena, but that didn’t stop the quarterback from refusing to give up.

According to Kmet, the two stayed at Top Golf until 1 AM. Williams allegedly lost the game.

For the uninitiated, Top Golf is almost a mix between cosmic bowling and golfing at the driving range. There are targets set up and both players take turns attempting to hit the targets. The venue often plays music and has food and drinks, setting up a fun atmosphere.

However, both Kmet and Williams allegedly had their competition run into the early morning hours. It could have been fun, but it also was competitive.

Caleb Williams demonstrates Michael Jordan-like personality

The new quarterback of the Chicago Bears has decades to prove himself anywhere near Jordan’s level. That said, Jordan was notorious for being competitive in areas outside his main sport.

The Bulls’ superstar would gamble with teammates on made-up competitions with quarters. He also competed in baseball.

No matter the subject, Jordan would often exhaust others with his desire to prove himself a winner. Williams, it appears, is willing to go toe-to-toe with his tight end barely one month into his Bears tenure in golf.

While most would see Top Golf as the backdrop of hanging out with friends, it appears Williams saw the competition as the main attraction.

This, of course, is good news for Bears fans.

As a quarterback entering a franchise that hasn’t posted a winning season since 2018, it is going to take a player with a higher level of competitiveness to win. DJ Moore, Keenan Allen, D’Andre Swift, and Rome Odunze offer plenty of reasons to believe in the team.

That said, the quarterback serves as the biggest building block on any NFL team.

Patrick Mahomes proved this last season when he won the Super Bowl with his surrounding cast. Except for Travis Kelce, no other player was expected to earn 1,000 yards in any capacity at the skill positions.

Nevertheless, Mahomes won it all. If Caleb Williams has a similar streak with his supercharged surroundings, a strong argument can be crafted.

Will Williams back up his competitive spirit with instant production? Chicago fans can’t wait to find out.
