The Cleveland Browns are taking an interesting approach despite a 1-4 start to the season.

The Cleveland Browns, in recent history, have been a bad NFL team. Outside of quarterback Baker Mayfield leading them to the postseason in one season, they’ve consistently been a poor team. This season, they’re off to a 1-4 start as they’ve yet to score more than 17 points in a contest.

The Browns have weapons, yet their offense is putrid. Cleveland head coach Kevin Stefanski understands that the club is in a terrible spot right now.

“Nobody likes where we are,” Stefanski said, following a 34-13 loss to the Washington Commanders.

“I don’t feel good about 1-4. It eats at you.”

Losing football games leaves a bad taste in fans’ mouths as it pertains to a head coach. Pressure will begin to mount on Stefanski to establish some sort of culture and make any positive changes.

Stefanski, Browns sticking with Deshaun Watson as starting quarterback

Despite a poor offensive start to the season, the Browns are sticking to their guns. Cleveland has quarterback depth, and plenty of former players and fans are calling for the team to start Jameis Winston under center.

However, Stefanski has made it clear that Deshaun Watson will continue to start at the quarterback position.

“We’re not changing quarterbacks,” Stefanski said, via ESPN.

“We need to play better. I need to coach better. …This is not a one-person issue on offense.”

Naturally, fans are upset the team isn’t making a quarterback change.

Browns fans react to Stefanski comments

One fan called for change: “The locker room has been lost. You can see players hanging their heads on the sideline. Morale is gone. None of the players want to play for Deshaun. It’s Jameis time.”

A second wrote: “They have to after paying him so much money!”

Another added, bluntly: “Both of them need to go”

A further comment said the blame should be shared: “Its tough to blame him when they aren’t doing a whole lot to help him. Throwing on 1st down every drive isn’t the answer”.

And another fan quipped of Stefanski: “He must like losing”

While a frustrated fan added: “Dead end, he will never be adequate.”

It’s clear fans are fed up with the current situation in Cleveland. Watson clearly isn’t getting the job done, either.

Maybe a quarterback change won’t fix everything, but it’ll certainly give the franchise a much-needed new look.
