Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Davante Adams could be on the move having requested a trade ahead of the deadline in November.

Davante Adams became one of the NFL’s very best receivers with the Green Bay Packers.

Adams was traded to the Las Vegas Raiders in 2022 though, reuniting him with his former Fresno State quarterback Derek Carr in the process.

Yet after just one year back together again, Carr signed for the New Orlean Saints and Adams’ future looked uncertain.

Adams has now requested a trade and numerous NFL teams have a serious interest in landing the six-time Pro Bowler.

Adams is understood to be interested in playing for the New York Jets or New Orleans Saints, potentially reuniting with former Packers QB Aaron Rodgers or Carr once again.

Dallas Cowboys stance on Davante Adams

What about the Dallas Cowboys?

The pressure is once again on Dak Prescott to win – especially after signing an enormous contract.

Prescott can still rely on CeeDee Lamb but Brandin Cooks is now unavailable due to a knee problem.

That has left many wondering whether the Cowboys could enter the race to trade for Adams in a blockbuster move.

Dianna Russini claims that the Cowboys are interested in Adams but NFL Network’s Jane Slater has very different information.

Speaking on The Insiders, Slater suggested that the Cowboys will not be trading for Adams.

Slater claims that the Cowboys want to stick with the receivers they already have, such as 2022 draft pick Jalen Tolbert.

That stance may ‘enrage’ Cowboys fans but Mike McCarthy appears to be happy with his current options – even with Cooks unavailable.

“It was really interesting, before this Brandin Cooks news came out, there was all of this talk about Davante Adams, possibly the Cowboys poking around on him,” said Slater.

“What I’m being told from everyone that I’ve spoken to – and people aren’t going to like this, especially the fans – is ‘we like our guys, and the guys on the practice squad’.

“It’s a sentiment that truly enrages the fans, but that’s reality. Up next, the two Jalens – you’ve got Jalen Tolbert, Jalen Brooks, KaVontae Turpin and Ryan Flournoy,” she added.

Jets now the preferred option

The Cowboys appear to be out of the mix and Carr’s Saints even appear to be lagging behind in the race now.

Ian Rapoport claims that Adams wants to play for the Jets and join forces with Rodgers again.

Adams is open to other options though and the Raiders will simply take the best deal on the table.

That means Adams could end up elsewhere but the Jets are emerging as the receiver’s ideal destination.

Adams spent eight seasons catching passes from Rodgers in Green Bay and that connection could return just months after Rodgers publicly shared his admiration for Adams.

The Jets have started 2-2 – just like the Raiders – but Adams may feel that he has a better chance to win alongside Rodgers.
