Davante Adams spell on the Las Vegas Raiders could soon be coming to an abrupt end.

Through the first three weeks of the 2024 season, Davante Adams has amassed only 204 receiving yards and one touchdown. He then missed week four with a hamstring injury.

It looks like he may have played his last snap in the Raiders famous black and silver uniforms, after news of his desire for a trade went public.

Adams’ unhappiness in Las Vegas has been an open secret for a while. Now the situation appears to be moving.

Davante Adams wants Jets or Saints

Davante Adams is eyeing a reunion with two quarterbacks he knows well, Aaron Rodgers and Derek Carr.

According to Adam Schefter, Davante Adams would like to be traded to the New York Jets or the New Orleans Saints.

While he is not ruling out other teams, the Jets and the Saints are Adams’ two clear preferred choices.

Adams played under Rodgers at Green Bay, where he made his name in the NFL. He then rejoined his former college quarterback Derek Carr on the Raiders, before the quarterback joined the Saints in the off-season.

The Jets and Saints have shown they are competitive in 2024 – but it is worth noting they each have the same 2-2 record as the Raiders over four weeks.

Add Davante Adams into the mix, and either team would become heavily favoured to reach the play-offs.

What Davante Adams said

Back in July, Davante Adams made clear a decision on his future would need to be made jointly. Even if he wants out, it needs to work for Vegas.

Adams feels he has plenty more to offer, commenting: “I’m locked in with the Raiders, and I really feel good about this team, and as far as I know they feel good about me.

“If that ever changes, if that got to a point where they weren’t feeling the same way, I ain’t done playing, so obviously we would figure out whatever we needed to figure out.”
