Entering Week 4 of the NFL there are plenty of things to consider especially since key players are getting injured and missing games. Some good squads have been bitten by the injury bug such as the San Francisco 49ers who are struggling without Deebo Samuel, George Kittle, and others. The LA Rams are also in a dire situation with star receivers Cooper Kupp and Puka Nacua both unavailable.

Injuries, however, lead to opportunities for other players on the roster to step up and make the most of their chances.

So, let us take a look at five sleeper wide receivers for Week 4.

Jalen Nailor – Minnesota Vikings

Minnesota Vikings WR3, Jalen Nailor has stepped up in the past couple of games with Jordan Addison out injured. While most of the targets go to Justin Jefferson as they should, Nailor has been the perfect foil for the Vikings.

Nailor, who is known as ‘Speedy Nailor’ has thrived in the Vikings system and is currently a top-five receiver in creating separation. He is also joint top of the league with three touchdown receptions and could likely excel even when Addison comes back.

Mike Williams – New York Jets

After becoming a free agent following the 2023 season, former Chargers’ receiver, Mike Williams joined the New York Jets. Still a capable No. 2 option for any team, Williams got off to a slow start in the first couple of games, but last week against the Patriots, Williams had three receptions from four targets for 34 yards.

Now that he has had a few games under his belt to settle into the new system, Williams could become a key piece of the Jets offensive, especially with Aaron Rodgers under center.

Michael Wilson – Arizona Cardinals

Cardinals wideout Michael Wilson may see more snaps and targets his way in Week 4 with the tight end and pass-catching option Trey McBride set to miss a couple of games at least.

In the Cardinals’ Week 3 matchup against the Lions, Wilson was the second-most targeted player with nine passes headed his way. He reeled in eight catches for 64 yards which was a big boost from his first two games where he was targeted only twice a game.

Jauan Jennings – San Francisco 49ers

The 49ers are in deep trouble as far as their roster is concerned with many injuries to key starters. Thankfully in the absence of Deebo Samuel and George Kittle, Jauan Jennings made a huge contribution in the last game despite the 49ers losing the game.

Jennings was targeted 12 times by Purdy and he came down with the ball on 11 occasions for a monstrous 175 yards and three touchdowns. Moreover, Brandon Aiyuk who recently went through a contract extension saga and held out in the offseason is not looking as sharp at the moment which means Purdy could continue looking toward Jennings once again.

Darnell Mooney – Atlanta Falcons

Darnell Mooney came up big for the Atlanta Falcons using his speed to get open in their Week 3 game against the Kansas City Chiefs. Mooney was targeted eight times and he caught all eight passes for 66 yards. He was targeted seven times the previous week as well catching three passes for 88 yards and one touchdown.
