Former Atlanta Falcons and Tennessee Titans wide receiver Harry Douglas has shared his opinion on Stefon Diggs’ return to the Buffalo Bills.

Diggs joined the Bills in 2020 from the Minnesota Vikings and forged a strong relationship with quarterback Josh Allen.

The 30-year-old had an incredible 5,372 receiving yards in his four regular seasons with Allen and was widely regarded as one of the best players in his position.

But Diggs became disgruntled last season and asked to leave Buffalo after the playoffs. He was later traded to the Houston Texans for a second-round draft pick.

He will now return to Highmark Stadium this Sunday in an important game for both teams. Here’s how Douglas thinks he will get on.

Harry Douglas on Stefon Diggs’ return to Buffalo

Douglas was not on the same level as Diggs but he was a good receiver in the NFL between 2011 and 2015.

Indeed, he had over 1,000 receiving yards in the 2013 season for the Falcons with Matt Ryan as his quarterback.

He is now an NFL analyst for ESPN and gave his verdict on Diggs’ highly anticipated return to Buffalo. “I’m going more [than 61.5 rushing and receiving yards],” Douglas told Get Up on Thursday morning.

“I think offensive coordinator Bobby Slowik is going to make it a point of emphasis to get the ball to Diggs early and often, in all kinds of ways, whether it’s reverses or catching the football – no matter what the circumstances are.

“Diggs is going to be emotional, he’s going to show his old girlfriend that his new girlfriend values him.”

Stefon Diggs’ start with the Houston Texans

Diggs was expected to be the number-one receiver for CJ Stroud and the Texans but he has been outperformed by Nico Collins so far.

The former Bill only had 70 yards in his first two games combined, against the Indianapolis Colts and the Chicago Bears.

He has since responded with 94 yards against the Minnesota Vikings and 64 yards versus the winless Jacksonville Jaguars but he is still a long way behind Collins.
