Raiders’ Davante Adams Sounds Off On Aaron Rodgers Reunion

Could Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Davante Adams potentially reunite with New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers in the future?

Adams and Rodgers famously spent eight seasons together with the Green Bay Packers, establishing themselves as one of the most lethal duos in the NFL.

However, the Packers traded Adams to the Raiders in March 2022, and one year later, they sent Rodgers to the Jets.

There has been speculation that the two stars could rejoin forces to play together sometime, with a specific focus on Adams potentially making his to New York.

Adams was asked about Rodgers recruiting him during an appearance on the Up & Adams Show, and he made it pretty clear that he and the future Hall-of-Fame signal-caller still talk a whole lot.

Obviously, there is only so much Adams can say here. He is under contract with Las Vegas, and he doesn’t want to get anybody (including himself) in trouble.

But the fact that Adams didn’t seem to rule out the possibility could mean that there is hope to see Rodgers firing passes to Adams again…and not just in a Pro Bowl.

Could Davante Adams force his way out of Vegas?

Adams is entering his third season with the Raiders, and his patience may be running thin.

Last year, the 31-year-old expressed his displeasure with the organization multiple times, leading many to believe that Las Vegas could ultimately trade him.

The Raiders held on to him through the trade deadline and then made the switch from Josh McDaniels to Antonio Pierce at head coach, which appeared to satisfy Adams. At least for the time being.

Earlier this offseason, Adams said that he expects Las Vegas’ offense to show improvement in 2024, which may be a tall order given the club’s rather unstable situation under center and after losing running back Josh Jacobs in free agency.

If things continue to go sideways for the Raiders, could Adams force his way out, and could the Jets end up being one of the teams on his radar?

Obviously, a lot has to happen for a trade to New York to take place, but if Las Vegas gets off to a rocky start this coming season, the situation with Davante Adams is certainly worth monitoring.
