New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers has been one of the most significant quarterbacks in the sport and has been touted as one of the best to ever throw the football.

Coming off an Achilles tear just four snaps into his debut with the Jets, the expectations are going to be mitigated a bit for the 40-year-old veteran.

While many people are doubting if Rodgers can get back to the same level of play that he was able to perform prior to the injury, it is clear he believes differently.

Rodgers has spoken about what his goals for the 2024 season are: winning his second Super Bowl and his fifth NFL Most Valuable Player Award.

While discussing the quarterback during a segment on “Speak,” Emmanuel Acho did not seem to disagree with his sentiment, calling him a “freakazoid.”

With the AFC continuing to be crowded with some excellent teams, it will be intriguing to see exactly how the future Pro Football Hall of Famer will look this season.

What should we expect out of Aaron Rodgers and the New York Jets in 2024?

The New York Jets have not made the postseason since the 2010 NFL season, where they lost in the AFC Championship Game. The franchise only won a singular Super Bowl back in Super Bowl III and have been looking to get back ever since.

Aaron Rodgers is also searching for his second Super Bowl victory and with the Achilles having a full calendar year to heal before taking the field in Week 1 of the 2024 season, this is the most excitement the team has had in more than 15 years.

General manager Joe Douglas made some massive improvements to the offensive line in three different areas. He traded with the Baltimore Ravens for left guard John Simpson, signed left tackle Tyron Smith as an unrestricted free agent, and drafted offensive tackle Olu Fashanu. Those three, plus the return of right tackle Alijah Vera-Tucker from an Achilles tear of his own, are hopeful to keep Rodgers upright.

This Jets team is in win-now mode and adding players like wide receiver Mike Williams proved just that. The offense got stronger and the defense improved so this is the best chance that Aaron Rodgers and the New York Jets have to win the Super Bowl.

According to DraftKings Sportsbook, Rodgers is +1600 to win the NFL MVP Award this season (ninth-best) and the team is +2000 to win the Super Bowl (11th-best).

The Jets are going to be better if they can stay healthy and AR12 can stay upright for 17 regular season games.
