NFL Writer Makes Massive Prediction For Bills-Commanders In Week 3

Commanders, Bills
NFL Analysis Network

The Buffalo Bills have gotten off to a rather strange start this season.

They entered the year with Super Bowl aspirations, but they resembled anything but contenders in Week 1, falling to a New York Jets team led by Zach Wilson. Then, the following week, the Bills looked like their superb selves from a year ago, routing the Las Vegas Raiders by a score of 38-10.

This weekend, Buffalo will head on the road to take on the Washington Commanders in what should be a very interesting matchup. While the Bills are somewhat surprisingly 1-1, the Commanders are 2-0 and are aiming to build on their strong start.

On paper, however, Buffalo should have the edge, and Tim Crean of ClutchPoints agrees.

While giving his forecast for the showdown between the two teams, Crean predicted that the Bills will hammer the Commanders 33-13, citing Buffalo’s advantage in overall talent, coaching and, most importantly, quarterback.

After a miserable Week 1 performance in which he threw one touchdown and three interceptions, Bills signal-caller Josh Allen bounced back in a big way last weekend, going 31-for-37 with 274 yards and three touchdowns, posting a scintillating passer rating of 124.5.

So long as the Allen from Week 1 does not show up in the nation’s capital on Sunday, the Bills should certainly have the edge over a Commanders club that is probably not as good as its record indicates.

Keep in mind, Washington has had a fairly easy schedule thus far, with its two wins coming at the hands of the Denver Broncos (who went 5-12 last year) and Arizona Cardinals (who are without Kyler Murray).

While the Commanders do have the benefit of playing at home, that shouldn’t bother the Bills, who went 6-2 on the road last season.

We’ll see how things shake out at 1 p.m. ET this Sunday.
