The Philadelphia Eagles are going to be a very interesting team to watch to start the season.

As the 2024 NFL season approaches, the NFC seems to have strengthened, with teams like the Los Angeles Rams, Green Bay Packers, and Chicago Bears showing signs of youth and improvement.

Initially, there was skepticism about whether the Eagles could bounce back and regain their form after a disappointing finish to last season.

However, on Thursday, the Eagles made a significant move by acquiring wide receiver Jahan Dotson from the Washington Commanders in exchange for three draft picks in 2025.

Noted sports commentator and Dallas Cowboys fan, Skip Bayless, took to Twitter to declare that the Eagles had “just won the Super Bowl” with this trade. He also praised Eagles General Manager Howie Roseman, suggesting he should be a frontrunner for Executive of the Year.

“I’ve hated the Eagles since I was 10 years old. But I cannot tell a lie: They just won the Super Bowl, because Howie Roseman is the Executive of the Year … while Jerry Jones is the executive of the rear.”

In contrast, Bayless criticized Cowboys owner Jerry Jones for the team’s underwhelming offseason efforts.

Dotson, a 24-year-old wide receiver, will bolster Philadelphia’s offense as a solid WR3 with potential for future growth. In his second NFL season in 2023, Dotson recorded 49 receptions for 518 yards and four touchdowns.

Philadelphia already boasts one of the best wide receiver duos in the league with A.J. Brown and Devonta Smith, both of whom secured contract extensions this offseason.

Additionally, the Eagles strengthened their backfield by acquiring star running back Saquon Barkley, who is expected to complement quarterback Jalen Hurts’ dual-threat capabilities.

With these moves, the Philadelphia Eagles are clearly the frontrunners in the NFC East. However, the lingering question remains whether they are the second-best team in the conference and if they have what it takes to make another Super Bowl run.
